Understanding the figures

What is included in these figures?

  • Loans: representative APR and its basis, term, deposit, itemised fees and total payable — when the provider supplies all of them.
  • Leases: initial rental, monthly rental, term, mileage allowance, excess-mileage charge and end-of-contract fees. Leases aren't ranked by APR.
  • Missing information shows as “Not provided”, and that option isn't included in cost sorting.

How these options are compared

Default order is alphabetical by provider — not a recommendation. You can sort by total payable or monthly cost, but only options with the same basis and complete costs are sorted. Variable-rate products can't show a fixed total. Sponsored options are labelled and shown separately; payment never changes the order.

Finance Disclosures

Important information

DriverXtra is a trading name of Zoiko Mobility Inc., a Zoiko Group company. DriverXtra is not a lender and does not provide credit or financial advice. Finance and leases are provided by the third-party providers named on each option, subject to status, their eligibility criteria and terms. Providers make all decisions and issue all documents.

Figures marked "representative" or "indicative" are supplied by providers and may not reflect the terms you're offered. Payment estimates calculated from your assumptions are illustrative and are not offers. Comparing options on DriverXtra is not an application and doesn't involve a credit check.

Vehicle finance questions

Before you compare

Loans, leases, APR and what happens when you continue to a provider.

No. DriverXtra helps visitors understand and, where available, compare vehicle financing from third-party regulated providers. Those providers determine finance products, rates and approvals.

You can view both, but they're shown separately. A lease is a rental, so its costs aren't comparable to a loan's APR or total payable.

No. Comparing options here isn't an application and doesn't involve a credit check. A provider may run one if you apply with them.

The Annual Percentage Rate — the yearly cost of borrowing including interest and required fees, so different loans can be compared on the same basis.

Different rates, terms, fees and structures. A PCP, for example, has lower monthly payments because an optional final payment is left to the end.

No. Figures marked “representative” or “indicative” come from providers and may not be the terms you're offered. Estimates from your assumptions are illustrative.

Arrangement and admin fees, option-to-purchase fees, early-settlement charges and, for leases, excess-mileage and end-of-contract charges.

Providers may not cover your market or vehicle. You can still use the payment estimate, which is illustrative only.

Yes, where providers offer it. Some limit the vehicle's age or mileage — check each provider's notes.

Alphabetically by provider by default — not a recommendation. You can sort by total or monthly cost, but only options with complete, fixed costs are sorted. Sponsored options are shown separately.

With a loan you own the vehicle once it's paid off. With a lease you pay to use it for a set term and mileage, then return it.

The provider you apply to. They make all decisions, issue all documents and handle complaints under their regulator's rules.
